Just Veet It!

This was Pamela’s first solo show held at the, only recently opened ‘Start The Bus’ gallery in Bristol, and it received an outstanding response from the public, also getting coverage in local magazine Venue. Just Veet It! is an exploration into female body hair, one of the last taboos in Western society. The aim of this exhibition is to tackle the shame, disgust and censure that exist around the issue in a way that empowers women. Pamela grew her own body hair for eight weeks and then had herself photographed by photographer and long time collaborator Zachary Saitoti. She wanted to show her body, half shorn and half natural to emphasise the contrast and as a way for the viewer to decide which is the true beauty.
